“Inside Out 2” has been a huge hit at the box office recently, accruing over 1.5 billion dollars since the movie’s release in June. In the last month, Disney has been teasing the release of another sequel to this series, but has decided to go another direction and get rid of the main emotion, “Joy,” for the rest of the franchise.

Joy being cut from the script has led to the introduction of “Freak.” Freak has a unique character design that is very different from normal Disney characters. He wears all Rick Owens and has long, Carti-like, dreads that cover the upper half of his face. While this emotion is active, Riley appears to have stronger romantic feelings towards her love interests. Freak often winks at others and has trouble staying calm and collected at times exceeding eleven o’clock at night. He acts in ways that can only be described as… freaky

With Freak being the new main emotion and the leader of the pack, he has a major influence on the actions of Anger, whom he’s often freaky with.

“We are working on a beautiful love triangle between Freak, Anger, and Disgust. I really am excited [to make this movie], I think it will be a fan favorite for sure,” said director Kelsey Mann.

Although not much is confirmed about Freak, it has been reported that rapper and entertainer Kevin Gates will be set to voice the character over the next 2 “Inside Out” movies. Many are ecstatic about this casting given how much of a freak Gates has shown himself to be over the course of his career.

Currently, “Inside Out 3” is predicted to gross over 30 billion dollars in its first two weeks at the box office and will most likely make a lot more, considering how much fans are loving Freak. Hopes are high for this character, and he looks ready to deliver.
