"Soul" (TV-PG)

Pixar’s newest project has been largely anticipated, and is finally here. Even though this movie is debatably a rip-off of “Cars” and “Cars 3,” there were still some memorable moments throughout the plot line. The aspect that stands out the most about Pixar’s “Soul” is the soundtrack. The soundtrack is mostly jazz, which is very soothing at times, and adds to the depth of the movie. 6/10 on the Cool-O-Meter.

"We Can Be Heroes" (TV-PG)

In 2005, a movie called “The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl” was released. Although it had very mixed reviews and was in fact disliked by most, there were a few big fans of the movie who very loved it dearly. That’s why when the trailer for “We Can Be Heroes” was released and it featured appearances from Sharkboy and Lavagirl, many fans were very excited to be finally getting a sequel.

However, it pains us to inform these fans that this movie is probably not for diehard fans of the 2005 cult-classic. Sharkboy and Lavagirl are indeed in the movie, but they play very minor roles and the plot does not in any way relate to the original movie. Younger audiences who enjoy movies like “The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl” would probably really enjoy the movie though. 6/10 on the Cool-O-Meter.

"King of the Hill" (TV-PG)

“King of the Hill” is considered by many to be the best show that [Adult Swim] has ever aired. While the story line is not very structured, the comedy in this show is top tier. One of the strongest aspects is the characters and voice acting, which make you feel like you are buying propane from Hank Hill himself. We give this show a 7/10 on the Cool-O-Meter.

"30 Rock" (TV-14)

“30 Rock” is often regarded as a classic sitcom. It was created and written by actor and comedian Tina Fey and began trends that many other sitcoms have used. It also spelled the beginning of many famous actor’s careers. The set of “30 Rock” is set in the NBC recording studio and the show itself is produced by NBC, giving the show a unique sense of self awareness. We give this show a 6/10 on the Cool-O-Meter.
